Liturgy & Music at Saint Mary's

Liturgy at Saint Mary's

Saint Mary's worship is eucharisitcally centered. A simple Rite I Eucharist without music is celebrated on Sunday at 8 am, while the 10 am service is Rite II with organ and choir. On 5th Sundays, Rite I is celebrated at the 10 am service. At 5 pm on Saturdays, a more informal Eucharist (the Celtic Eucharist on the first Saturday of every month, Rite II otherwise) with music is celebrated.

The Eucharist is celebrated several times during the week as well. On alternate Wednesdays, men from the congregation meet for Eucharist, breakfast and discussion at 7:30 am. On Wednesdays at 10 am is a service of Holy Eucharist with Healing. Thursday mornings at 7:30 am parishioners gather for Eucharist, breakfast and discussion.

Saint Mary’s liturgy embodies the richness of the Anglican tradition and incorporates the full range of liturgical resources found in the Book of Common Prayer and supplemental sources such as Enriching Our Worship, Lesser Feasts and Fasts, and the Book of Occasional Services. Our liturgy is enriched by music from the 1982 Hymnal, as well as Wonder, Love and Praise, and Lift Every Voice and Sing.

St. Mary's church and parish hall are both wheelchair accessible. Also, the priest can bring communion to parishioners in their pew if that would be more accommodating, just let an usher know when you arrive. Parishioners can also receive communion standing at the altar, rather than kneeling.
