SAINT MARY'S STAFF
   

The Reverend Stephen V. Smith became the 6th rector of Saint Mary's in October, 2004. Steve has been a priest since 1982, serving Episcopal churches in MN and MA, most recently as Rector of St. John's Church, Westwood, MA. A native of Massachusetts growing up in Newton, Steve married Jeanette Hanlon in 1979 and they have three grown children, Jamie, Martin and Colleen. Jeanette,a graduate of Harvard Divinity School and licensed social worker, has a private practice in psychotherapy, spiritual direction, consulting and coaching in Mashpee. Steve has a variety of interests including biking, hiking and painting. More recently, he is being tutored in the art of salt water fly-fishing. He relishes this opportunity to be in the natural splendor of Cape Cod and called to this ministry at St. Mary's.
   

The Rev. Dr. Kristina D. Lewis (Kris) , a graduate of The General Theological Seminary in New York City, joined the staff as Assistant Rector in July, 2005. A cradle Episcopalian and native Southerner, Kris' first career was as a stay-at-home mom. Her second career was in academia. After receiving a Ph.D. in Developmental Psychology in 1994, from the University of Florida, she taught at Saint Michael's College in Colchester, VT for eight years.Kris is passionate about liturgy, preaching and Christian formation. She has three adult children, Derrick, Devon, and Megan, and a teenage son, Christopher. In her spare time she feeds the many birds in her yard, practices photography, and reads and writes. She's also an avid doodler!
