As the sun rises on this post-election day, we are a bitterly divided nation struggling to find points of unity. While many of you are celebrating Donald Trump’s election as the next president of the United States, many other people are confused and traumatized by this outcome. We are a people desperately in need of healing and reconciliation, which we find only in our Lord.
5:00 pm Service of Healing and Reconciliation with music, followed by hors d’oeuvres
I would be grateful to anyone who can contribute food or drinks to the receptions following the services.
A Prayer for the Whole Human Family
O God, you made us in your own image and redeemed us
through Jesus your Son: Look with compassion on the whole
human family; take away the arrogance and hatred which
infect our hearts; break down the walls that separate us;
unite us in bonds of love; and work through our struggle and
confusion to accomplish your purposes on earth; that, in
your good time, all nations and races may serve you in
harmony around your heavenly throne; through Jesus Christ
our Lord. Amen.
